2025 marks the 10th anniversary of our incredible story of the rewilded African elephant on !Khamab Kalahari reserve. We will be celebrating this success story by removing the GPS collars of all collared elephants on the reserve as a token of respect and to complete this chapter. The elephants were originally collared for management purposes to enable us to monitor the elephants and to ensure that they have fully adapted to their 90 000 ha home.
We will embark on this journey of removing the collars from the 30th of May until the 14th of June, so stay tuned to follow the last events of this special story with us.
